SHOW UP. SWEAT.
FUND A RECOVERY.

Every WarriorWOD veteran charity event funds the same thing: six months of exercise programming, nutrition coaching and a Battle Buddy for a veteran with PTSD. As a result, $250 a month covers one veteran and $1,500 covers a complete recovery. Pick the one you can get to.

WarriorWOD’s program is independently verified by the College of Charleston. Every event on this page funds the next Warrior Class.

▸ No Event Near You?

Start your own fundraiser

You do not need an event on the calendar. Set up a page, pick your own challenge, and ask your people. We send the templates, the graphics and the flier.

▸ HOST AN EVENT

Host A Veteran Charity Event At Your Gym Or School

Most of our events started because somebody with a gym or a team asked. You supply the floor and the people. We supply everything else.

What we send you

Printable fliers, WarriorWOD Swag, a member invite email, social posts, and a team fundraising page with a shared leaderboard.

What you do

Pick a date, tell your members, and run the workout. That is the whole lift. We handle registration, receipts and donor follow-up.

What it costs you

Nothing. No fee, no minimum, no commitment past the one date. You are not writing us a check.

GYMS

Non-members in the building for a morning, members with a shared goal, and you serve the veterans already training with you.

SCHOOLS

Team building people do not resent, and community giving with a number you can report: dollars in, veterans funded.

Service hours students want to log, and a clinical tie-in for kinesiology or PT programs. CSU Physical Therapy runs Hustle For Heroes.

Put your name on a recovery

Event sponsorship is the most direct version of corporate giving we offer. Your logo goes on the shirt, the banner and the start line, and your dollars are tied to a number you can report.

$1,500 funds one veteran’s complete six-month program. A sponsor who covers five Warriors has funded an entire cohort’s worth of recovery, and we will tell you which class they were in.

▸ Questions

Before you sign up

Which event should I pick?

Start with geography. Anyone who can get to Charleston in April should run the Hustle For Heroes 5K. If you cannot travel, Burpees For Vets works from wherever you are. Memorial Day weekend brings Murph at Ethos. Alternatively, when none of the dates work, start your own fundraiser and pick your own challenge.

Do I have to be a veteran?

No. These events are for anyone who wants to fund a veteran’s recovery. Most participants have never served. Veterans, spouses, kids and civilians all show up to the same start line.

Do I need to be in shape?

No. Runners, walkers and rollers are all in, and nobody gets swept off a course. Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome. For Burpees For Vets you can substitute any movement you can count, including squats, step-ups or rowing meters.

Where does the money actually go?

To WarriorWOD’s six-month veteran PTSD recovery program: membership at a Preferred Partner Gym, nutrition coaching, monthly assessments, and weekly contact with a trained Battle Buddy. $1,500 funds one veteran’s complete program and veterans pay nothing.

Can I bring a team?

Bring the gym, the clinic, the unit or the office. Every event has a team option with a shared total and a leaderboard. Four people who each raise $375 have funded one veteran outright.

Can I host an event at my gym or school?

Yes, and most of our events started exactly that way. You supply the floor and the people. We send the fliers, the graphics, the invite email and a team fundraising page. Get in touch and we will pick a date. Email [email protected] to start.

I cannot make any of them. Can I still help?

Three ways. Donate to someone else’s fundraising page, start your own page and do the challenge on your own schedule, or send the sponsor packet to a business owner you know. A sponsorship at $1,500 funds a complete recovery.
