Volunteer with WarriorWOD
Volunteer for veterans by working a WarriorWOD event, lending a professional skill, or mentoring one Warrior through the six-month program. WarriorWOD runs on a small team, so the hours you give go straight to the work.

Who runs WarriorWOD
Phil Palmer founded WarriorWOD in June 2021. He is a Marine combat veteran and Purple Heart recipient from the Battle of Ramadi, and he still handles most of the day-to-day work.
Every hour a volunteer takes on, from an event shift to a marketing campaign, is an hour Phil can put back into the Warriors. One veteran’s six-month recovery costs $1,500, covered by donors. The veteran pays nothing.

Path 02
WarriorWOD is a 501(c)(3) with a small team. These are the gaps right now. If your skill set is somewhere else in nonprofit operations, apply anyway and tell us what you do.
What your hours support
Your time supports a six-month program that measures itself. Warriors complete the PCL-5 and C-SSRS at intake and every month. The College of Charleston ran an independent evaluation that WarriorWOD did not review before release.

There are three ways to volunteer for veterans with WarriorWOD. Work a fundraising event such as Burpees for Vets or the Hustle for Heroes 5K. Lend a professional skill like marketing, SEO, or social media from anywhere. If you served, mentor one Warrior for six months as a Battle Buddy.
No. Event and skills volunteers come from every background. The Battle Buddy program is the exception: it is open to active duty US military service members and US military veterans.
