MURPH AT ETHOS

THE MAN IT IS NAMED FOR

Lt. Michael P. Murphy

Navy SEAL Michael P. Murphy was killed in action on June 28, 2005, during Operation Red Wings in Afghanistan. He exposed himself to enemy fire to transmit a call for help — an act of courage that saved the lives of his teammates and earned him the Medal of Honor, awarded posthumously.

The workout that bears his name was one Murphy himself created and called Body Armor: a 1-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 air squats, and another 1-mile run. Every rep is a small act of remembrance.

SPONSOR THE MORNING

Put Your Brand Alongside Something That Matters

WarriorWOD Foundation sponsors get real visibility — your logo on every shirt worn that day, signage at Ethos Athletic Club, and recognition at the ceremony. But more than that, you get to stand beside 200+ athletes who showed up to honor a fallen hero and fund veteran mental health.

Sponsorships start at $500 and include tiered naming rights, social media features, and a spot in our post-event donor report. All sponsors receive our 501(c)(3) tax documentation.

We keep it simple. Request the packet, we'll send pricing and deliverables, and if it fits — you're in.

QUESTIONS

Do I need to be a CrossFit member to participate?

No. Murph at Ethos is open to all fitness levels and backgrounds. You don't need to be a CrossFit athlete or Ethos member.

Can I do Murph if I've never done it before?

Absolutely. The scaled and partner divisions exist for exactly this reason. Our coaches will be on the floor the whole time and no one gets left behind.

What does the $35 entry fee cover?

Your registration includes a WarriorWOD event shirt, access to both class times (you pick one), and a donation to veteran mental health programs. There are no hidden fees.

Where does the money actually go?

100% of proceeds fund WarriorWOD Foundation's direct-service programs: peer support, clinical care navigation, and crisis intervention for post-9/11 veterans in the Lowcountry. We are a registered 501(c)(3).

Can I register day-of?

Day-of registration is available as long as spots remain, but we recommend registering online to guarantee your shirt size and preferred class time.

Is parking available at Ethos?

Yes. Ethos Athletic Club has a dedicated parking lot with additional street parking on nearby streets. Arrive by 7:00 AM if you're in the first class to get settled.

What should I bring?

A pull-up bar gloves if you want them, a water bottle, and a 20 lb vest if you're going RX. Ethos has chalk, pull-up bars, and water on site. Bring cash or card for the food truck after.

THEY SERVED. NOW STAND WITH THEM.

Every athlete who crosses the finish line sends a message: the people who fought for us are not forgotten. Register now and bring someone with you.
