SAVE A VETERAN’S LIFE

WITH A SOCIAL MEDIA POST

With as many as 20% of combat veterans experiencing PTS or suicidal ideations, many veterans are in crisis.

As a holistic recovery program designed to enhance the overall well-being of veterans, WarriorWOD stands ready to assist through a research-backed program built on exercise, nutrition, and mentorship.

The simple reality is, donations are the single largest factor in determining how many veterans WarriorWOD can save.  We rely on the generosity of individual donors — especially during the Giving season and Giving Tuesday.

If you’re not familar, Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement that takes place annually on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving. It encourages people to give back through donations, volunteering, or acts of kindness to support causes and communities.

This Giving Tuesday, we’re not asking for donations from you, but we are asking for your help in introducing WarriorWOD’s mission to your networks.

Through a social media post, you can save a veteran’s life when someone in your network supports WarriorWOD through their financial support.

HOW IT WORKS

Man speaking to a group of people

Compose a social post about your WarriorWOD journey. This could include background on your military service, struggles you’ve faced or how you’ve helped those struggling, and how WarriorWOD has helped veterans in need of help. There’s no expectation for you to include details you’re not comfortable sharing.

Your post should be specific to you, but as a suggestion for the WarriorWOD inclusion:

  • “WarriorWOD combines exercise, nutrition, and mentorship in a research-backed, results-driven recovery program for veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress, suicidal ideations, and substance abuse.”
  • “WarriorWOD has reduced PTSD symptoms by as much as 29% among veterans in the program.”
  • “WarriorWOD has prevented nine veteran suicides and reunited many families, helping veterans reclaim their lives and find joy.”

It is essential to ask for your network to support WarriorWOD. This ask should come in your own words so that it’s more comfortable to you. If you need help crafting the ask, please consider using:

  • “This Giving Tuesday, please support WarriorWOD so that they can provide life-saving services to veterans like me.”
  • “On Tuesday, save a veteran’s life by donating to WarriorWOD.”
  • “This Giving Season, help a veteran struggling with PTSD and invisible wounds with a donation to WarriorWOD.”
